Little background is that five years ago we sat down on some old steps in Amalfi and just about to eat our pauper’s fare (a slice of pizza that we were sharing) when a distinguished gentleman walking past, paused, tipped his tweed cap, and bid us “bon appetit”. We have never forgotten his gracious gesture and his smile.
